First of, let's try to understand what kind of studies do people in Japan have.

They probably wake up at around 6:30-7 and go to school. Classes start around 8:30 and ends 4:30 in the afternoon. But most of the Middle Schoolers, particularly 14 years old attends club activities and cram schools.

School year starts on April 1st and ends March 31 the next year.

Japanese, mathematics, science, social studies, music, crafts,
physical education, and home economics. These are the subjects they have to focus on.

I didn't actually write this for you to understand the School System. I wrote this to clear up some words that you might come across while reading.

Chugakkou*- (found in Chapter 1) literally means middle school. Ai introduced herself as a middle school student in Kyugaku.

Onii-chan*- means brother or older brother. If anyone is familiar of the word incest, the younger sister usually calls her brother "onii-chan" to make it look cuter. But in Ai's case, she's not trying to win the heart o her brother.

Arigatou*- I'm sure all of you knows this. THANK YOU.

Ohayo~!- Good Morning

Kawaii~~- Cute

Ja ne~!- See you later!

Oyasumi (nasai)- Good night (said before bedtime, usually)

Daisuki- I like you a lot

Aishiteru- I love you

Koishiteru- I love you (but this is more suited for people who have an intense relationship)

Atarashii!- New

Kakkoi/Sugoi!- Cool
