ANIME WORLDS: Do they, or not exist?
I've been playing more role-playing worlds with "make-your-own anime character" systems lately, and so that made me busy, actually. I use Anime Worlds to escape my boredom, and of course I really love avatar editing. What I only hate is the "cash" that you need to buy some stuff around the site. Oh well, I really love these sites, especially those with "going around town" applications. Here are my top recoms for anime worlds!
1. Gaia Online
I've been playing this for...4 years, I guess? It's my "gateway to cosplay" and using Gaia, I was able to cosplay all the 7 members of the Special A class using 7 different accounts (some are Tsuki's, not mine). It is all-in-one, it has mini-games, and MMO named "zOMG", forums, you can read free manga, watch anime, and dress up your avatar. You also have your own profile, diary, and many other features that a typical social networking site has. You can go around town, tweak your house, and do a lot of things around. For me, it's the best anime world I've gone to. There are two types of cash: Gaia gold--which can be collected anywhere around the site, and Gaia cash--which can be obtained by buying it online.
2. TinierMe
This may be common, too. It has advertisements all around the internet, and some personalities like Alodia Gosengfiao, Stephanie Yanez, and even Hatsune Miku, the virtual superstar, has united with it. Just like Gaia, you can make your own anime character, but some avatar features are limited. You can have also a profile, but it is less customizable than Gaia's profiles. There are several mini-games, and I cite "TinierCafe," since it is a Facebook app and anyone can play it without a TinierMe account. Some games are almost the same as Gaia's. There are no free manga and anime, but you can enjoy their events (like the latest Stephane Yanez x Hatsune Miku Dream Concert). You can go around Selfy Town, make changes in your home, and fish anywhere (as long as there's water). There are also groups, forums, online diaries, and a lot more in TinierMe, but less customizable that Gaia's. There are two types of cash, just like in Gaia: Chibi Coins--which can be obtained by playing and doing stuff, and GCoins, which are obtainable when you buy them.
3. OtakuZone
Not too common. You can compare it to MangaFox's online community, since it features anime and manga reviews, recommendations, and forums. You can also have a customizable avatar that you can use to cosplay anime characters (they are so specific, actually). There are also games, but not as good as the games found in Gaia and TinierMe. There's no town to go to, actually. You can read manga and read anime. Clubs and roleplaying groups are very popular. It doesn't really have an anime world, but I decided to join it in, since their "chara-cosplay factor" is a beauty. There is only one type of cash, which is gold. It can be obtainable by posting up reviews and recommendations, adding friends, etc. If you have no gold, you can buy it online.
4. AQWorlds
This is a part of AQ, or most commonly known as Adventure Quest. It is solely a MMORPG with 2D anime graphics. I really don't praise it too much, since MMORPGs are already common. If you will compare it with other games such as PangYa or something else, it will be ranked at the bottom, but what makes me happy is it doesn't need any download. Money here, or gold, can be obtained by fighting monsters. Adventure Quest is not really a beauty, but oh well.
This is it! If you have some anime worlds to recom in this post, please comment and I'll add it up.
